HETMA Announces Global Higher Ed Roadshows

Orlando, FL, June 16, 2023  Higher Education Technology Managers Alliance (HETMA), the official advocacy organization for higher ed in the Pro AV industry, announces a multi-city roadshow starting throughout the United States and Canada, with select dates across the globe, which will host campus spotlights, networking opportunities, and product showcases from key technology partners.

“The HETMA Roadshows present an exciting opportunity to grow and strengthen our local membership while addressing technology issues and topics that are most relevant to leaders in higher education today,” says Joe Way, Co-Founder and Chair of HETMA. “More now than ever, higher education is driving product roadmaps and critical buying decisions in the Pro AV industry. HETMA is proud to leverage our collective knowledge as a vital partner in this ever-changing landscape.”

Kicking off on August 1, 2023, with a visit to Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, the HETMA Roadshow will travel throughout the U.S. and Canada over the fall and spring semesters. Stops include Los Angeles, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Austin, Chicago, Nashville, New York City, New Orleans, and Boston, with dates and additional locations to be announced soon. International stops already secured for 2024 include Barcelona, Japan, and Dubai.

“We designed our Roadshows with the tech manager in mind,” says Erin Maher-Moran, Vice-Chair of HETMA. “Time and budget are often roadblocks in being able to attend major AV industry tradeshows, and for many, the HETMA Roadshows represent their only opportunity during the school year to experience the latest in technology and network with their peers.”
