HETMA Prism Scholarship Application Window Now Open

HETMA is proud to announce that applications are being accepted for the second year of the Prism Scholarship. Apply HERE, https://forms.gle/9QFAYhBm7wXRZw8V7

As part of our dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion, HETMA has partnered with AVIXA to provide scholarships that support the growth of underrepresented communities within the US higher education technology industry.

This scholarship is intended as encouragement for women, LGBTQIA+, Black, Latino, Asian, Indigenous, disabled persons and others to become active leaders and role models for technology managers in the higher education space. Recipients will be recognized as someone determined to leave their mark as an AV professional who has demonstrated a commitment to their continued education, displaying a passion for both higher education and the experiences that audiovisual technology creates.

C. Ann Kelly, a current Prism recipient, said of the experience, “The Prism Scholarship provides encouragement and motivates people to go after what they are passionate about. This is anyone’s field.”

Recipients of the scholarship receive a one-year Elite Membership to AVIXA, inclusive of the entire online catalog of education, access to a virtual Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) prep course and course materials, the coverage of exam fees for the CTS exam, a mentorship by a HETMA member, plus a trip to a future InfoComm show.

HETMA (Higher Education Technology Managers Alliance) has a total of ten scholarships to be awarded in 2023, with the application process now open and running until March 2023. Recipients will be chosen and contacted in late spring 2023.
